It was reported yesterday that police command in Lagos invited the singer on his role in the public display of ladies dancing half-unclad.
Tekno arrived the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti Yaba, alongside the girls. He was later granted bail due to his health condition.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) SCIID, Mrs. Yetunde Longe, told newsmen that the singer could not be detained because of his health condition.
“Yes, we invited him for questioning, but we did not detain him because of his health. He was advised to report to the police whenever he was needed. Investigation is still ongoing.” Longe said.
Now, the singer took a swipe at the controversial actress, Tonto Dikeh in his latest song, stating that her beauty has faded out and he cannot even consider ‘dealing’ with the mother-of-one.
The song, ‘Agege’ is a witty track which shows strong chemistry on the collaborative joint of Tekno and Zlatan.
Nigerian Afropop hitmakers, Tekno and Zlatan have teamed up to dropped a new song titled ‘Agege’,.
The brand-new track was created by the two Nigerians, who are famous for their high-quality songs.

His manager has however made a statement that the singer was not arrested, rather, he was ‘invited’ to clear the air.
Sydorff said, “Tekno was never arrested by the police. They requested our presence and they told us to please come and clear the air about the whole issue. When we got to the station it was not as if anyone was arrested.

Reacting to the release of the music video for the song, Agege, Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Segun Runsewe said,
“We commend the police for arresting Tekno for the shameful misconduct. The same person, who was granted bail on health grounds has gone ahead to release the controversial video. We are now warning him to desist from this shameful conduct, which is not part of our culture.
“No single person is bigger than Nigeria; whether he likes it or not, we are going to use him as a scapegoat to send strong signals that this government does not tolerate nonsense and immorality, but discipline, which is our moral principle.
“Since the offensive Tekno scam video came to the limelight, I have received hundreds of telephone calls and SMS from Nigerians at home and others in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and other parts of the world querying why such anomalies would be tolerated in Nigeria.
“Now that he has released the shameful video when investigation is still ongoing, we are going to inform security agencies to place him on their watch list, because his action is a threat to national security and a bad influence on Nigerian youths.
“We are committed to exposing proponents of this kind of offensive sights and videos. We warn that nudity is not part of our culture and should not be tolerated. The Federal Government will henceforth fish out clubs for nude dancers across the country for their promoters to face prosecution.”
The Federal Government has declared that it would make popular musician, Tekno a scapegoat after a video surfaced online showing the singer with unclad girls dancing around him in a van while in traffic in Lekki, Lagos.
According to the singer, the stunt was part of a scene from a music video he was shooting which he has since dropped.
Reacting to the viral video, the Federal Government stated that the singer will be made scapegoat so as to prevent such immoral practice from gaining ground in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Ubi Franklin, who reacted to the threat from the Federal Government stated that his music artiste hasn’t done anything worthy to be tagged national threat.

Singer, Paul Okoye has mocked the Federal Government of Nigeria for referring to singer Tekno’s “Lekki nude video” as “a threat to national security.”
There are reports that the Federal Government will not let popular musician, Augustine Kelechi, aka Tekno, off the hook easily following the incident of showcasing semi unclad women inside a transparent truck on the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.
The National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), a parastatal in the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, said Tekno would be used as a scapegoat “to teach others a serious lesson.”
In a recently released video, Tekno was seen throwing money suspected to be dollars at the nude women, dancing seductively.
According to the government, it was further outraged when Tekno went ahead to release the video.
The transparent truck scene which happened to be part of the music video for his new song, Agege, was released on Thursday.
Speaking, the Director-General NCAC, Otunba Segun Runsewe said Tekno would be put on a watchlist, him, the NCAC was committed to exposing proponents of such kinds of offensive sights and videos in Nigeria, “because his conduct is a threat to national security.”

Nigerian singer, Tekno, who is allegedly in trouble with the Federal Government over his controversial music video, has produced a new song for international acts, Drake and Swa Lee titled “Won’t be late”.

The song was released by Swae Lee featuring Drake and it is produced by our very own, Tekno.
“Won’t Be Late” was first debuted during Virgil Abloh’s set at Coachella in April.
In the lyrics of the song, Drake mentioned some Nigerian terms like “Ikebe” and “Bakassi” which is enough to get Nigerians excited.
Swae Lee released a new song ‘Won’t be late’ hit which featured Drake in it and has since been trending online.
The song was also produced by Nigeria’s own Tekno which saw Drake use the words ‘Ikebe and Bakassi’. The rapper verse went this ‘Ikebe, pressing on me heavy, Pressing up against me real close. Bakasi, moving on me’.

Tekno deleted all his Instagram posts leaving only a message on his story that doesn’t really explain why he is leaving Instagram.
The message simply reads: ‘tables will turn’.
It’s not clear why he made the move again or what his state of mind is, but this is not the first time he’s doing it.
